On August 3rd, 2022, Operation Ideas Seminar of Equipment Procurement Business Line of Nanjing Iron & Steel Group International Trade Co., Ltd. (NISCO International) was held at NISCO Headquarter and General Manager Lu Zhaoyong presided the seminar. Major achievements, main focuses, good practices, operation risks as well as strategic proposals for the business development were reviewed and discussed.

Topics addressed during the seminar are:

l Shipping of cargo for KINRUI and KINXIANG projects in the full swing. 140,000 tons of cargo under KINRUI Project successfully shipped, accounting for 93.34% of the total contracted cargo weight; 990 million yuan paid to the contractor, standing at 76.98% of the total contract amount. Meanwhile, 26,000 tons of cargo under KINXIANG Project successfully shipped as well, and 494 million yuan paid to the contractor.

l On-site execution of key imported project contracts implemented in a timely and orderly manner, including IMS Multi Channel Profile Gauge, SMS Hot Plate Leveler, GE Motor & Converter, etc.

l 53 equipment procurement contracts signed with a total amount of $4.97 million US dollars; the total counter-offer discount achieved up to 3 million yuan, positively responding to the cost-saving procurement requirement.

Over the seminar, Gu Zhongming underlined the significance of bench-marking communication and win-win cooperation with industry renowned enterprises to build up consensus and share the resources with one another, expressing that Equipment Procurement Business Line has completed the imported procurement work well during the first half of 2022 and has taken concrete actions to set up a customized export business process.

At the end, Lu Zhaoyong stressed that we live in the era when the opportunities and challenges coexist, and the development of Equipment Procurement Business Line should keep close step with the company transformation, required all employees in the line to get involved in the whole business processes and synergize with other business lines in the company. Mr. Lu also proposed the initiative of “outperform the market and outperform the competitors” to be one of the top priorities of the Business Line in the coming future.
